Disappointment

Fall is here and that means it's my favorite time of year! College Football season! It is definitely not a secret that I'm a Baylor fan and every year I put much hope in my Bears. I don't really know why I enjoy football the way I do, or why I get so emotionally involved in the game, but I guess it's just the way I'm wired.

So, anyway, Baylor started out the season fantastically with a big win over Wake Forest. I woke up last Saturday morning unable to think about anything other than going to the game in Waco. So, I hopped on eBay and found a couple cheap tickets to the home opener against Connecticut. I was also able to find a couple boys (not on eBay) who were willing to go support the Bears with me.


We had a blast before the game even started...



Once the game began it was evident that this very winnable game was not going to end well. Even though the Bears made it interesting at the end, it was very sad day and a very long ride home. Alex and Parker didn't really care how the game ended as long as they got to spend some time on the field afterwards...



One of my very good friends, Deneise, knew how much this loss hurt and made me a "Get-over-it" cupcake. :) Wasn't that nice?
