Waiting until the very last minute to do my Christmas shopping used to be my favorite thing. It's not that I didn't have time to shop earlier, it just never quite feels like Christmas unless you're out amongst ALL the people and ALL the traffic. Well, today I'm officially over it!
I left the house at about 10:30 this morning in hopes of knocking out all my remaining shopping. I arrived back home at about 7:00 pm this evening with nothing accomplished. The millions, and there were millions, of people who were out shopping didn't really bother me and I found back roads that allowed me to avoid most of the traffic. The most frustrating thing about my shopping day was that nobody has anything in their stores! One particular item won't be in stock until at least February. I can always order online but of course the goods won't get here before Christmas. And nothing says Merry Christmas like a picture of something that will arrive on your doorstep sometime in the next 2-4 weeks!
Remind me next year that I really should actually do some shopping before the week of Christmas!

I totally don't mind getting my macbook 2-4 weeks after Christmas...go ahead and order it!!
Hel-lo??!! Black Friday shopping?? Remember when you went all day and bought 2 little things at the very last stop?? And a grocery store at that???
Remember...it's more fun to watch all the crazies the days before Christmas than to be one of them!!
