I want one!!
When I first heard about the Apple iPad I thought finally Apple is making something that I'm not really going to want! Unfortunately, I was wrong. My parents got one last weekend and it is pretty cool. I mean, you haven't played Scramble until you play it on the iPad!! So maybe someday I'll be able to add the Apple iPad to my collection of Apple gadgets!!

I think I'm ready to talk about it
Well, the weekend didn't quite turn out like I had hoped but it will definitely be some of my all-time favorite Baylor memories. Seeing Reliant Stadium so full of green and gold was amazing! I was so proud to be a Baylor Bear!
When it was all said and done we lost to Duke. And just for the record, I didn't cry or get angry! The final score was 78-71 but the game was really a lot closer than that. Right before half-time we were down by 7 and came all the way back to lead by 3 at the half. It was probably the most exciting 2 minutes of basketball I think I've ever witnessed. We were screaming, jumping, and clapping so hard that our hands were red! The people around us were obviously Duke fans and I'm sure didn't enjoy our enthusiasm! If only we had finished the game that strong! I'm still so very proud of the Bears and very excited about what next year will bring!
I'm also pumped about the girls making it back to the Final Four. If only we didn't have to get past Connecticut for the National Championship. Anything can happen! To add a little more excitement, the final four is actually in San Antonio! I don't have plans to make the trek but like I said, anything can happen!! :)
Here's a few pictures from Friday night's game against St. Mary's (I don't have any from Sunday):
I can whole-heartedly say that 1,032 miles, 18 1/2 hours in the car, and a few dollars was definitely worth seeing Baylor play in the Sweet Sixteen and Elite 8. The best part though was getting to share the experience with some of my favorite people. Thanks to Reagan, Shane, Alex, and Kristy for supporting the Bears with me!

Sic 'em Bears!!
I may have mentioned last night that I'm a little excited about the Baylor Bears this week. Apparently, some people at ESPN are taking notice. I remember the day Scott Drew was hired at Baylor. He immediately came to campus and began meeting students and parents (it was move-in day for freshmen). I've met him a couple times since then and he just seems like a really nice man who knows that even basketball isn't the most important thing!
Still so very proud to be a Bear!!

Have you heard??
Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware that my BAYLOR BEARS are STILL in the NCAA Tournament! Sweet Sixteen, baby!! That has happened exactly zero times before. Never. Nada. In fact, last week's first round win was the first NCAA Tournament win in 60 years. I've been a little beside myself with excitement. Can you see me smiling??
It's been fun to talk it up with my kids at school this week and I've been challenged to wear Baylor colors everyday this week. Two days down, three to go. After tomorrow I'm officially out of dress code green and gold so I'm going to have to get creative. I also offered extra recess to anyone who wears green and gold to school tomorrow. I'm teaching them the important stuff for sure!
Perhaps the most exciting part about Baylor playing in the 3rd round of the tournament?? Their next game is in Houston! I couldn't possibly pass up the opportunity to be a part of the madness, so I'm taking a half-day off of school and heading south on Friday. Hopefully, I'll make the same trip on Sunday!
Sic 'em Bears!!

I love...Spring Break!!
I've only been on Spring Break for a few hours but already I love it. It's amazing how even year to year you forget how great (or bad) something is. I was really looking forward to this break from school but until last night and this morning I didn't realize how much better I would feel knowing I have absolutely nothing to do for the next week. I also never realized how much I love the sunshine. Today is shaping up to be pretty perfect weather-wise and it's already put me in a very happy mood. Here's hoping for a great week full of great weather!!
