I was doing some research this afternoon for some lessons this week and I learned something that I don't think I've ever heard before. The moon has no water, no wind, and no atmosphere - thus, it has NO weather. Because of this lack of weather, the footprints left in the moon dust by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin (totally almost typed Buzz Lightyear) are still completely intact and will remain that way for millions of years! Isn't that incredible?

I hate to brag; but, yes, I did!
I knew the stuff about no water on the moon but the footprints still being there was news to me! Apparently, I grew up in an inferior educational system-although, my sister says she knew that so maybe I just wasn't a very good student. :)
After school today, Parker said, "Mom - did you know that Neil Armstrong left his feet on the moon??"
Well, kind of!!
