I'm so excited that Fall temperatures have finally arrived. It is football weather at its finest. I'm also so excited to report that yesterday, for only the second time in the last 23 years the Baylor Bears beat the Aggies. For the first time in my 8 years as a Baylor fan I was able to witness it in person. And, it was amazing. The game itself was really not too exciting and it was VERY windy and VERY cold, but VERY worth it.
We were able to get a pretty good lead and held it throughout the game, but the end result was so cool. They kept announcing that it was against Big 12 rules for any unauthorized personnel to approach the field after the game, and I guess by unauthorized they meant Aggie fans because just about every Baylor fan in the place rushed the field after the last second ticked off the clock. I saw one little old lady walk up to our star quarterback, Robert Griffin III, and say, "I just want to shake your hand and thank you for what you are doing for Baylor." For the first time since the Big 12 began in 1996, it feels like Baylor's on it its way to belonging in a powerhouse football conference.
Alex and Reagan went with me to the game, but they cheered for the wrong team. Here are some pictures from our day:

Now I'm already looking forward to next year. Sic' em Bears!
